Quick Local Tip: Night diving changes what you notice underwater. Your light narrows your field of vision, so instead of scanning an entire reef at once, you naturally slow down and focus on the small movements and marine life appearing directly in front of you.
What to Expect
Check in at the Hilo dive shop 20 minutes before your scheduled start time. From there, the group is shuttled to the evening’s shore-diving location, where your divemaster prepares you for the dive.
Once the sun is down, enter the water for a guided one-tank night dive. Your dive light opens a moving window through the darkness as your divemaster leads the group through Hilo’s underwater environment and points out marine life along the way.
Without daylight filling the water around you, the experience becomes much more focused. The beam of your light moves across the reef while the surrounding ocean disappears into darkness, creating a completely different atmosphere from a daytime dive.
After surfacing, transportation returns you to the dive shop for a post-dive debrief.

Leave your gear at home and dive in our top of the line equipment. During check out, you can select if you would like to rent all the gear necessary to have a fun and safe dive. Come explore the unseen side of Hawai‘i Island using brand new equipment!

Restrictions:
- Minimum Age is 8 years old
- You must be dive certified to join this group. Please join our introductory dive if you have no prior experience scuba diving.
- Must meet minimum qualification of Open Water Certified with proof of certification.
- Please note that you MUST wait at least 12 hours before ascending above 2,500 ft after your dive. A two-tank dive increases your wait time to 18 hours. This tour requires you to have the ability to swim and that you are able to use a snorkel or regulator. Minors 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Cancellation Policy
Customers will receive a full refund with 24 hours notice of cancellation. Customers will receive a full refund in the case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. No-shows will be charged the full price. Late arrivals may be charged a late arrival fee. Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation.
Deep Sea Fishing Charter Cancellation Policy - If you are booking the deep sea fishing charter: All private charters are subject to a 21-day cancellation policy. Charters canceled within 21 days of departure will not be honored a refund of any type.
