Waimea Canyon Tour

A trip to Kauai is not complete without a visit to the awe-inspiring. Waimea Canyon. This sightseeing tour will take you right up to the rim to gaze out on the grand landscape that has been dubbed the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific.”

What to Expect

Heading out to West Kauai we will visit Spouting Horn,a blowhole that shoots sea spray straight into the sky like a geyser, and Hanapepe Valley, a beautiful lookout for photo opportunities. We then journey onto our mountainous drive up to Waimea Canyon.

Thousands of years of erosion have turned the canyon walls into a multi-hued canvas, where shadows and light produce a never-ending show. The Waimea Canyon is truly a site not to be missed when visiting Kauai. During our return drive your informative guide will point out numerous locations and island features while providing you insight and history of the locations.


  • Spouting Horn* – One of the most photographed spots on Kauai with ocean water spraying like a geyser up to 50 feet in the air.
  • Waimea Canyon* – Known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, it was carved out by the Waimea River and the collapse of a volcano.
  • Hanapepe Valley Lookout* – A picturesque view of the lush tropical valley that was once a Hawaiian taro farming community with some of the patches still being farmed today.
  • Queen Victoria’s Profile – The Haupu Mountain range offers a profile of Britain’s Queen Victoria use your imagination and you can clearly see her facial features in the rocks.
  • Waimea Town – This old seaport was the first landing site of European explorers. Today, it is home to the island’s last sugar plantation and located in the backyard of high tech agribusiness companies and small businesses.
  • Russian Fort Elizabeth State Historical Park – The last Russian fort in the Hawaiian Islands.
  • Koloa Town – Home of the oldest Kauai sugar mill dated 1835 and holds the rich history of Hawaii’s sugar plantation days.
