Wailea Hawaiian Canoe Snorkel Tour

Our outrigger canoe tours are designed to help you relive part of a traditional Hawaii.

Traditional Hawaiian canoe paddling and snorkeling is a fun activity for the whole family. And we’re ready to enrich your experience by teaching you more about the islands, the fauna and the flora that surrounds us. You can get over the famous coral reef, swim alongside indigenous Hawaiian fish and create wonderful memories for years to come.

What to Expect

Your snorkel tour begins by paddling a traditional Hawaiian Outrigger Canoe as you learn the culture, art and sport of canoe paddling along with information pertaining to the non-instrumental navigational techniques used by Polynesian voyagers.

Your journey departs the world famous Wailea Beach along the south coast of Maui with Haleakala, Lana’i, Molokini, Kaho’olawe and the West Maui mountains as your backdrop! Wailea in ancient Hawai’i translated to ”Waters of Sacred Happiness”.

Enjoy the pristine waters off Wailea point as you swim in the magnificent coral-sea garden with an abundance of sea life that may include turtles(honu), eagle rays(hihimanu), dolphins(nai’a), whales(kohola)(seasonal) and species of fish endemic to this island paradise. Come join us for an unforgettable experience for the whole family!

What to Bring

  • Sunscreen –Take care of your skin by applying protection. The sun in Hawaii can affect you if you don’t take the necessary precautions.
  • Swim Attire – If you plan on swimming with the turtles or snorkeling alongside colorful fish, appropriate swimming attire is a must.
  • Sunglasses – Take care of your eyes and bring along a pair of sunglasses. You might need them if the sunlight is too bright.
  • Towel – Don’t forget to bring along a towel in case you’d like to use one as soon as you get out of the water.
  • Waterproof camera – We strongly recommend you bring along a waterproof camera. Alternatively, underwater equipment is an even better fit for one of our Hawaiian outrigger canoe tours.
