Your morning begins high on the slopes of Haleakalā, where cool mountain air, sweeping island views, and a thorough safety briefing prepare you for one of Maui's most iconic adventures. Before long, gravity takes over as you begin a 32-mile descent that loses nearly 6,700 feet in elevation, carrying you through an ever-changing landscape that few visitors experience.
The first miles are the most exhilarating, winding through a series of sweeping curves and hairpin turns as you descend into Maui's picturesque Upcountry. As the elevation drops, cool volcanic slopes give way to rolling ranchland, fragrant eucalyptus groves, and the charming cowboy town of Makawao, where you'll pause for a complimentary lunch and a chance to explore one of Maui's most beloved communities.
Back on the bike, the scenery shifts once again. Pineapple fields, open countryside, and the laid-back surf town of Pāʻia lead you toward the coast before your journey finishes exactly where it should—at Baldwin Beach, where the mountain meets the Pacific Ocean.
