Haleakala Bike Rental and Shuttle

Get in on the Haleakala Downhill bike fun during this self-guided tour. We will shuttle you up to 6700ft of elevation on the slopes of the beautiful Haleakala Volcano where you will begin your exhilarating descent.

This self-guided tour was created for those who want to bike by themselves at their own pace. Stop and go as you please, take photos, and just overall enjoy the mountain without a guide. We are, however, always close by ahead of you if you need a drink, snack, bike adjustment, or general information along the way. We are the only company to offer this service!

What to Expect

Your downhill maui bike ride begins at the top of Haleakala Ranch. During the first 7 miles you will be twisting and turning through 19 switchbacks and hairpin turns...all while descending to 4700 feet above sea level!

The second leg of the bike ride is the longest. Starting again from top of the ranch, you bike 15 miles, through the ranch and some of the most picturesque towns on Maui…the town of Makawao. This stretch is mostly downhill and when you stop in Makawao, we’ll be at an elevation of 1700 feet above sea level.

Once in Makawao, take about a short break where you will have a little time to check out this unique historical town, use rest rooms if needed, and get a quick snack from a local store.

After Makawao, it’s back on the bikes for the final stretch. An 8 mile downhill coast, passing pineapple fields and sugar cane fields . Bike through the town of Paia and end the journey at the beach, Baldwin Beach Park. We'll meet you there.

After some high fives, fist bumps, and hugs, you’ll be more than welcome to dip in the ocean to cool off, take some pictures, and just enjoy the beauty of the area. We’ll then get you back to Kihei and Wailea and say our Alohas.
