Upcountry Maui Food Tour

Our Taste of Upcountry tour features three of the island’s premier food and beverage makers – MauiWine, Hali’imaile Distilling and Surfing Goat Dairy! In addition, we take the opportunity to visit Kula Country Farms who has been providing Maui with beautiful and tasty produce for four generations!

We’ll start our day at Maui Tropical Plantation with coffee grown and roasted right on property by our friends at Mill House Roasting Co. In the mood for a mid-morning snack? Grab one of the made-from-scratch pastries to snack on as we venture to our first stop!

Receive a private tour of the dairy from one of the farm’s expert tour guides. Meet and feed the happy goats who call this country paradise home. Experience a taste of what it takes to raise these adorable animals, collect the milk and produce these lovingly-crafted, artisanal cheeses.

On your visit to Surfing Goat Dairy you’ll experience a truly farm-to-table handmade lunch, with a selection of artisan paninis and salads. Your craft experience wouldn’t be complete without tasting their flagship goat cheeses, hand crafted right on property. This gourmet adventure has a taste of paradise for everyone. See your lunch options here.

Take in the epic views as you travel through the lush Kula Countryside on your way to the historic Ulupalakua Ranch; home to MauiWine – Maui’s only winery. Explore the beautiful and peaceful grounds to learn the story of Rose Ranch and its significance in Maui’s Paniolo history. After your tasting in the iconic King’s Cottage, make sure to check out all of the amazing locally-made products in both the Gift Shop and the Ranch Store.

Now that you’ve spent some time in the lush, Kula countryside, it’s time to experience some of the amazing food being grown here! Kula Country Farms produce stand offers their produce along with other island farmers fruits, vegetables, flowers, jams, jellies and fresh baked goods. Plus, the views are breathtaking!

Hali’imaile Distilling Company, set in the middle of last active pineapple plantation, sets itself apart by using local ingredients and distilling in small batches. The pristine surroundings of clean air, pure water and exquisite agriculture are transparent in the production of their ultra-premium, Hawaiian spirits. You’ll receive an expert tour of the production facility followed by a tasting of the brands produced by this award-winning distillery
