U.S.S Bowfin Submarine & Museum Tour By:  U.S.S Bowfin Submarine Museum

A trip to Pearl Harbor is not complete without touring the U.S.S. Bowfin Submarine. Known as the "Pearl Harbor Avenger" this historic submarine had gone out on 9 patrols between 1943 and 1945, where it sank multiple Japanese Merchant and Japanese Navy ships during WWII, before being retired permanently to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. 

The submarine and museum are both self-guided tours that include free audio tours. The audio guides are offered in 7 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Korean, Japanese and Mandarin.


Restrictions

- Children under 4 are not permitted on the submarine for safety reasons. They may visit the museum at no charge.

- For security reasons bags are not permitted inside any of the Pearl Harbor Historic Sites, these include, back-packs, purses, camera bags, fanny packs, luggage, diaper bags, etc. There are storage lockers available for $3.00
