What to Expect

From the docks of Honokokau Harbor in Kailua-Kona, HI, we'll take you and your party to ideal diving manta ray snorkeling and diving spots to find the most beautiful and majestic manta rays.

After a comfortable boat ride, we will drop anchor and allow you to enter the water. Divers will drop down below with underwater lights to fill the ocean with beams of UV light. On the surface, the snorkelers are provided with a raft equipped with UV lights shining down into the water as well.

The manta ray's food source is plankton, which is then attracted to the light beams. Soon after, the manta rays will begin to majestically swoop through the light beams for the snorkelers on the surface, and the divers below to enjoy.

Manta Rays are often referred to as the "butterflies of the sea," and you'll be able to experience them firsthand with our signature manta ray snorkeling scuba excursions. Our team of licensed and certified PADI divemasters knows the best locations for manta ray interactions and will provide you with all the needed gear to enjoy your manta ray scuba expedition.
