Quick Local Tip: Grab a seat on the western side of the catamaran for the return trip. As the sun drops toward the horizon, you'll have some of the best views of the coastline bathed in golden light while dolphins occasionally make surprise appearances offshore.

What to Expect

Your evening begins at Kailua Pier as the Kanoa II leaves the shoreline behind and sets course along the rugged Kona Coast. As volcanic cliffs, lava fields, and hidden coves pass by, a local historian brings the landscape to life with stories of ancient Hawaiian royalty, sacred sites, and the events that shaped the island's history. What first appears to be a beautiful coastline soon reveals itself as one of Hawaii's most significant cultural landscapes.

As the catamaran glides into Kealakekua Bay, towering sea cliffs and calm waters create a setting that feels worlds away from the bustle of Kona. Dinner is served near Captain Cook Monument, giving you time to enjoy local flavors while taking in one of the most scenic and historically important bays in Hawaii. As the afternoon light softens, the entire coastline begins to glow with warm shades of gold and amber.

The return sail unfolds during Kona's most magical hour. Live music drifts across the deck as the sun sinks toward the Pacific, painting the sky in brilliant shades of orange, pink, and crimson. With a cocktail in hand, warm ocean breezes in the air, and the island's stories still fresh in your mind, it's easy to lose yourself in the moment as day fades into evening along one of Hawaii's most storied coastlines.

Our main office is located in the ‘Ilima Court’, it is the closest free parking to the pier, and where you will park for all of our adventures. It is about a five minute walk down to the pier from our office.

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to departure for check in. Refunds are not available for late arrivals.

Cancellation Policy

Parties of nine or less will receive full refund with 48 hours notice of cancellation. Parties of ten or more require 72 hours notice of cancellation for a full refund. Full refunds will be given in case of operator cancellation.
