Get into the rainforest of the Big Island during our waterfall hiking tour. During the tour you will experience an off-road drive to an exclusive trailhead where you will immerse yourself in stunning private Kohala waterfalls, tranquil streams, scenic coastlines, and rugged valleys on this North Kohala adventure.

What to Expect

The tour begins from one of our various pick up points in Kona, Waikoloa, and Kohala Coast resorts. From there we enjoy a scenic ride up the coastline through the quaint towns of North Kohala. We then go offroad and ramble down a dirt road to our exclusive trailhead.

Now the adventure begins! One out of the vehicle and our hiking gear is situated we enjoy an easy 1.5 mile hike that gains 200ft of elevation over the course of 2 hours. This hike is a beautiful rainforest setting the meanders along the stream bed before reaching a stunning waterfall that is deep enough to swim in.

After our leisure swim and rest, we head back down the trail towards our scenic lookout where we enjoy a picnic lunch. Here is a great chance for photos with the beautiful sea cliff backdrop of North Big Island.

Restrictions

• Guests should be able to hike on uneven or rocky terrain, and we sometimes encounter cool, wet, or muddy conditions.
  
• Please wear closed-toe shoes, warm socks and/or leggings, long pants, and a sweatshirt or sweater.
  
• Please bring a reusable water bottle
