On our way, you’ll cruise the South Kona Coastline while enjoying incredible landscape featuring the steep sea cliffs, sea caves, lava tubes and mountain views and spouting blowholes.
After that, we arrive at Captain Cooks Monument where our crew will talk about all the history of Kealakekua Bay before snorkeling the beautiful coral reef. Kealakekua Bay translates to “Pathway of the Gods”, and you’ll understand why when you see this large natural bay surrounded by steep sea cliffs and caves with arid vegetation. Keep your eyes looking for pods of spinner dolphins, turtles, and manta rays, who frequent the bay.
Then it is time to snorkel. Our small speed boat makes it possible for everyone to slide off at once to ensure you don't have to wait to go down the ladder. Just jump right in and snorkel over the pristine coral reef. The early morning hours when the water is calm is the perfect time to see all the sea life that Captain Cook Monument snorkeling has to offer.
On the way back to the harbor, your professional captain and crew will be searching for more pods of Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins to view. To keep the adventure going, we will stop at sea caves and other beautiful locations such as Red Hill. If you are feeling extra adventure we will let you snorkel in a sea cave!
