What to Expect

The fun begins the moment the throttles open. Leaving Keauhou Bay behind, your captain follows the dramatic South Kona coastline, where towering sea cliffs, ancient lava tubes, sea caves, and blowholes reveal a side of the island that's only accessible from the water. With just 18 guests onboard, the small RIB feels fast, agile, and close to the action, turning the journey into part of the adventure.

As Kealakekua Bay comes into view, the water shifts into brilliant shades of blue and turquoise. After learning about the rich history surrounding the Captain Cook Monument, you'll slip into one of Hawaii's most celebrated snorkeling destinations. Calm, protected waters and thriving coral gardens create ideal conditions for spotting colorful reef fish, Hawaiian green sea turtles, and other marine life that call the bay home.

The adventure doesn't end when the snorkeling does. On the return trip, your captain keeps an eye out for spinner dolphins and often detours to explore sea caves, lava tubes, and other hidden corners of the coastline. Depending on ocean conditions, you may even have the chance to snorkel inside a sea cave; an unforgettable finale to a day that combines speed, exploration, and some of the Big Island's best snorkeling.
