What to Expect

The excitement begins the moment the Reef Explorer leaves the harbor. Built for speed and agility, this custom rigid-hull inflatable raft skims across the water just a few feet above the ocean, turning the ride to Molokini into part of the adventure rather than simply transportation.

Because the raft travels faster than traditional catamarans and carries a much smaller group, you'll spend less time getting there and more time exploring one of Hawaii's most famous snorkeling destinations. Inside the protected crescent of Molokini Crater, visibility often stretches for more than 100 feet, revealing vibrant coral reefs filled with hundreds of species of tropical fish found nowhere else in the world.

After Molokini, your captain heads to a favorite turtle cove chosen for the day's conditions. Unlike larger vessels restricted to more crowded locations, the Reef Explorer can access quieter coves where Hawaiian green sea turtles regularly gather at natural cleaning stations. With fewer people in the water and more flexibility throughout the day, the experience feels personal, adventurous, and far removed from the typical snorkel cruise.
