After meeting your guide at Makena Landing, you'll receive a brief introduction to the area's marine ecosystem and learn just how easy the water bikes are to ride. Unlike a traditional bicycle, the wide pontoon design provides exceptional stability, so there's no balancing or previous experience required. Simply climb aboard, start pedaling, and within moments you'll be gliding effortlessly across the water.
Once on the ocean, your guide leads the way through Makena's protected bays, weaving between black lava outcroppings, rocky coves, and vibrant coral reefs that are difficult to appreciate from shore. The elevated seating position gives you a unique perspective of the reef below while keeping you comfortably above the water, making it easy to watch for Hawaiian green sea turtles and schools of tropical fish along the way.

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. If this occurs, we will find the next available date in attempts to reschedule, if this is not possible then any cancellation done at least 24 hours prior will not have any cancellation fee. Any cancellation of 24 hours or less from a scheduled tour will be charged a $50.00 cancellation fee for each water bike that was scheduled.
We had an amazing time seeing the history and culture of the island on the ocean! We saw sea urchins and last min a turtle peeped up as well 😍 The guides were so informative and warm, made the experience so fun for me and my friend. Also, water biking in itself was so nice and easy allowing us to enjoy the beautiful views on the water without breaking a sweat haha. Loved it! Highly recommend!
