As you traverse the stunning landscapes, you'll be treated to panoramic views of the majestic volcano and the surrounding lush valleys. Enjoy the tranquility of the ride, the gentle sway of the horse beneath you, and the opportunity to connect with nature in this unforgettable equestrian experience.

This open range cattle ranch on Maui is located on the pristine, sacred and undeveloped country above the Kanaio coastline. We offer private ranch tours by horseback, with routes starting on Haleakala's dormant volcano slopes and winding down through grazing cattle, lush vegetation and lava flows that feature incredible views of the ocean, Kahoʻolawe and the Big Island.

Our guests are treated with local aloha, so in addition to having an incredible ride, you'll come away feeling like you're part of the family while learning to ride paniolo-style.

What to Expect

You will love the private exclusivity of all our "Cattle Open Range" tours, with our personalized attention. As part of our paniolo (cowboy) ohana we will ride down to the open range to check the cattle and calves at the base of Pi’imoi crater sharing history of the area with breathtaking views of ancient Maui.

The 2 hour rides, allows for a full tour of the pastures and the unique Hawaiian history and cultural practices and sites too. We will visit our historic well, views of the ancient lava flows, and clear views of Molokini island.

All rides have the most spectacular views of the outer islands Hawaii, Kahoolawe.

We are an active cattle ranch so any running or galloping of the horses, to the horses, means go get the cattle, therefore we only allow trotting depending on size of group and experience levels, safety comes first. However if you are avid experienced rider we may allow cantering and trotting per your cowboys discretion.

All Inclusive 3.5 hour tour with BBQ Lunch

This route takes you from the backside of Haleakala, winding through our ranches cattle country and historic sites stopping at our lookout point for a catered BBQ Triple L Ranch beef burgers from Bully's Burgers, plus savory treats, fresh fruit and delicious desserts. This is a very important ride as we need to keep our cattle upland and keep invasive species below the pasture management areas
