Quick Local Tip: When boarding the Navy ferry out to the Arizona Memorial, grab a seat up front on the port (left) side. It's the best angle for seeing both the USS Missouri and the Arizona Memorial as the boat approaches the dock.

What to Expect

Begin with convenient pickup in Waikīkī before traveling to Pearl Harbor with live narration from your local guide, who shares the history of Hawaiʻi and the events leading up to December 7, 1941.

At the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, watch the National Park Service documentary before boarding a U.S. Navy shuttle boat to the USS Arizona Memorial. Standing above the sunken battleship, you'll see the names of the 1,177 crew members who lost their lives, the memorial's shrine room, and the "black tears" of oil that continue to rise from the wreck below. From the memorial, you'll also enjoy views of the USS Missouri across the harbor.

After your visit, continue through historic downtown Honolulu, passing landmarks including ʻIolani Palace, the King Kamehameha Statue, Washington Place, the Hawaiʻi State Capitol, Chinatown, and the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl Crater as your guide shares the stories that shaped modern Hawaiʻi.
