Quick Local Tip: As the sun drops near Kaʻena Point, remember its deep cultural meaning Hawaiians believed this westernmost tip of Oʻahu was "leina a ka ʻuhane", the place where souls leapt into the next realm. What to Expect
The tour departs from Haleiwa Harbor, one of the most iconic and laid-back small boat harbors in Hawaiʻi. Upon arrival, guests are welcomed by a friendly and knowledgeable crew, who will guide you through a brief safety orientation and help you get settled aboard the Hoʻo Nanea. Please plan to arrive 30 minutes before departure to allow time for check-in.
Once underway, the catamaran glides effortlessly away from shore, heading into the calm evening waters of the North Shore. With no other commercial sailing boats operating in this area, you'll have uninterrupted views of the coastline and open sea. The air is clean and salty, the ocean calm, and the mood distinctly peaceful.
As the sun lowers on the horizon, the sky transforms into a vibrant canvas—fiery oranges, soft pinks, and deep purples reflecting off the surface of the water. The gentle rhythm of the waves and the open expanse of the Pacific create an atmosphere that is both meditative and awe-inspiring.
While nature puts on its show above, keep your eyes on the water. The North Shore is home to a variety of marine life, and it’s not uncommon to see flying fish darting across the surface or green sea turtles cruising nearby. In season, humpback whales may also make an appearance offshore.
Throughout the cruise, the crew shares insights about the local marine environment, cultural stories, and facts about Hawaii’s annual humpback whale migration (seasonal). Cold non-alcoholic refreshments are provided, and guests are welcome to bring their own beer or wine to enjoy during the sail. A clean onboard restroom is available for your comfort.
The experience ends as the sun dips below the horizon and the catamaran makes its way gently back to Haleiwa Harbor. It's a calm, enriching, and truly memorable evening on the water.

- Please meet us at our boat in the Haleiwa Boat Harbor. For GPS, we recommend that you use the "Haleiwa Joe's Seafood Grill" or harbor address: 66-105 Haleiwa Rd., Haleiwa, HI 96712. Our boat is located next to the 2 story grey building in the middle of the harbor.

Cancellation Policy
All cruises and tours have a 24-hour notice of cancellation policy. Any cancellation with less than 24 hours notice will not receive a refund. There is a 20% fee for rescheduling within 24-hour period. Customers will receive a full refund with 24 hours notice of cancellation. Customers will also receive a full refund in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances (i.e. Lack of participation) Weather conditions are decided at the boat dock. Private charters require 168-hour (7 Day) notice for refund. 20% fee for ALL canceled Private tours. Contact us anytime to inquire about cancellations or reschedule.
