Quick Local Tip: When the water staircase drops, try to be among the first in, you’ll get more snorkel time and avoid the gear bottleneck. Swim straight to the crew member safety diver in the water and they’ll often point out a turtle before the rest of the group even enters.
What to Expect
Board your catamaran at Ala Wai Boat Harbor and settle in as you sail along Waikīkī's coastline toward Turtle Canyon. Enjoy views of Diamond Head, ocean breezes, and island music while the crew fits your snorkel gear and prepares you for the reef.
At Turtle Canyon, a brief snorkeling orientation covers reef safety and what to expect before you slip into the warm Pacific alongside the onboard safety divers. Float above vibrant coral as Hawaiian green sea turtles, tropical fish, and other marine life glide through one of Oʻahu's most popular snorkeling spots.
Back on deck, the crew opens the cash bar and serves complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. The sails catch the wind for the return trip to Ala Wai Boat Harbor, where you’ll dock feeling refreshed, sun-kissed, and with memories of swimming alongside Hawaii’s most famous marine residents.

Our Waikiki Turtle Snorkeling Adventure was absolutely incredible from start to finish! The entire crew went above and beyond to make sure everyone had an unforgettable experience.
Captain Mo was fantastic! She kept the atmosphere fun, entertaining, and energetic while making everyone feel safe and welcome throughout the trip. Her personality really made the adventure even more enjoyable.
Seamus and Tyler were outstanding. They kept everything running smoothly, were always available to help with anything anyone needed, and made sure every guest felt comfortable both on the boat and in the water. Seamus was especially amazing as our guide during the snorkeling portion. He led us through the best areas, pointed out sea turtles we would have otherwise missed, and made sure everyone had the opportunity to enjoy these incredible animals up close while respecting their natural habitat.
The crew’s professionalism, friendliness, and enthusiasm made this one of the highlights of our trip to Hawaii. Captain James, Janey and the cute, curly haired boy (forgot his name) made our trip fun, safe and memorable. Turtles were abundant , swimming from below and surfacing to show off their necks, beautiful multi colored fishes near the boat, and an up close and personal touch with a sea urchin, a complimentary snack of cheez-its to go with our drink.
