What to Expect

All lessons begin on the beach in Waikiki, where your instructor leads a 15-minute land demonstration covering the fundamentals: paddling technique, pop-up form, ocean awareness, and water safety. This foundational session ensures you're confident before entering the ocean.

Once in the water, the real fun begins. The instructor will guide you into Waikiki’s calm, beginner-friendly waves or smooth paddleboarding channels, helping you understand how to read the water, find your balance, and catch your first rides. For surfing lessons, your guide helps position your board and gives a gentle push into each wave, making it easier to catch and stand up. For paddle boarding, you'll receive step-by-step coaching on standing, paddling techniques, and turning while enjoying panoramic views of the coastline.

Throughout the 1 hour and 15-minute water session, your guide remains close by, offering tips in real time and helping you refine your technique. You’ll be encouraged, challenged, and celebrated as you gain confidence on the board, all while immersed in the beauty of Waikiki’s turquoise waters and iconic backdrop of Diamond Head.

• Required for participants under age 13

Semi-Private Surfing or SUP Lesson

• For 2 to 3 people (your party only)
• Great for couples, friends, or small families
• No mixing with other guests

Requirements

• Minimum age: 5 years old
• Children under 13 must book a Private Lesson
• Participants should be comfortable in the water
• All participants must be able to swim
• Semi-private lessons require a minimum of 2 people
• Maximum of 3 participants per instructor for semi-private sessions
