The moment the sun slips below the horizon, watch the exact point where it vanished; it usually appears as a brief, shimmering green aura rather than a sharp flash.

What to Expect

Depart Kewalo Basin aboard a spacious 65-foot catamaran and settle in with ocean breezes, drinks, and light bites as Waikīkī and the Honolulu skyline stretch along the coast. Choose a table inside or out while the boat cruises toward Diamond Head and the afternoon begins to turn golden.

Along the way, enjoy a selection of appetizers and light bento-style bites, unlimited non-alcoholic beverages, and included drink tickets for beer, wine, or cocktails from the onboard bar. Additional alcoholic drinks are available for purchase.

As the sun drops lower, the captain cruises around Diamond Head, opening up a beautiful view toward the western horizon. Watch the Pacific shift through gold, orange, and pink as the sun slips into the ocean and keep an eye out for the elusive green flash in its final moments.

After sunset, settle in for the downwind cruise back toward Kewalo Basin as twilight deepens and Waikīkī's lights begin to glow along the shoreline, giving the evening one last change of scenery before returning to harbor.
