Guided Kayak to Mokulua Islands

Location: East Oahu, Oahu

Tour Highlights

Glide out from Kailua into shimmering, open water and land on the legendary Mokulua Islands, an experience reserved for the few lucky enough to score a limited-access permit. With sea cliffs, tide pools, and wild reef life surrounding you, this is Kailua at its most untamed and unforgettable.

  • Paddle 45 minutes across Kailua Bay to the restricted-access Mokulua Islands
  • Explore Moku Nui’s tide pools and seabird sanctuaries with expert naturalist guides
  • Snorkel Kailua’s turtle-feeding reef with provided gear
  • Relax with a deli-style lunch and an hour of free time on the island
  • Enjoy a full-service experience with landing permits, gear, lockers, and parking

Quick Local Tip: Ask your guide if conditions are calm enough to visit the Queen’s Bath—a deep, 8-foot saltwater tide pool tucked along the right side of Moku Nui. It’s only accessible on mellow days and requires shoes for the sharp lava rock, but when it’s safe, slipping into that super-salty natural pool is one of the island’s most unreal hidden experiences.
