Haleakalā EcoTours has spent more than three decades introducing visitors to the extraordinary landscapes, history, and cultural significance of Haleakalā and Maui. As a National Park Service-authorized concessioner, the company specializes in interpretive sightseeing tours that provide guests with a deeper understanding of the island’s geology, ecology, and native Hawaiian heritage.
In 2018, the National Park Service significantly reduced the number of commercial operators authorized to conduct vehicle-based tours within Haleakalā National Park, replacing nearly 20 permits with just four exclusive concession contracts. Haleakalā EcoTours was selected as one of only four authorized concessioners, granting the company the ability to provide guided commercial road tours within the park—an honor reserved for a select group of operators.
Led by knowledgeable interpretive guides, Haleakalā EcoTours offers immersive experiences that explore the summit, crater overlooks, visitor centers, and surrounding communities of Upcountry Maui. Each tour is designed to educate and inspire while fostering appreciation for the fragile ecosystems, cultural traditions, and conservation efforts that make Haleakalā one of Hawaii’s most treasured places.
Committed to sustainability, environmental stewardship, and cultural respect, Haleakalā EcoTours continues to provide some of Maui’s most informative and rewarding sightseeing experiences, connecting visitors with the island’s most iconic volcanic landscape.
