Quick Local Tip: When shooting at Byodo-In Temple, most visitors walk clockwise. Instead, step off to the right side of the main walkway and crouch low. This angle lets you frame the red temple with its perfect reflection in the pond and removes most of the foot traffic from your shot.

What to Expect

Meet your photography guide before sunrise and set out in a small group to capture Oʻahu during its most beautiful light. Whether you're using a DSLR, mirrorless camera, or smartphone, you'll receive personalized tips on composition, camera settings, and lighting throughout the day.

Your journey follows Oʻahu's scenic Windward and North Shore coastlines, stopping at dramatic beaches, towering sea cliffs, lush mountain valleys, and peaceful cultural landmarks. Photograph sunrise at Sandy Beach, capture the Koʻolau Mountains, explore the serene Byodo-In Temple, and frame iconic views of Mokoliʻi (Chinaman's Hat) from Kualoa Beach. Seasonal stops may include Hawaiian green sea turtles basking on the sand or the legendary surf breaks of the North Shore.

Along the way, enjoy a stop for breakfast (available for purchase), sample one of Oʻahu's famous Leonard's malasadas, browse local fruit stands, and spend time exploring the historic surf town of Haleʻiwa before returning to Waikīkī. By the end of the tour, you'll head home with unforgettable memories, new photography skills, and a collection of images that showcase Oʻahu at its very best.

We pick you up at your hotel in Waikiki. If your hotel is outside of Waikiki, which is from the Ala Moana Hotel to the end of Kalakaua, we ask you to make your way to the paid parking area of the Honolulu Zoo.

Cancellation Policy

To receive a full refund you must contact us within 48 hours of your tour. Any time after that we will charge a $25 cancellation fee per person and it will take up to two weeks to refund the remaining balance, but we will work with you to reschedule. If you do not cancel by closing hours (5:30 HST) of the day before your tour no refund will be given.
