Ohana Surf Project

Ohana Surf Project (OSP) is a premier surf school based in Waikīkī, specializing in personalized surfing, stand-up paddleboarding, and bodyboarding instruction for all ages and abilities. With more than 150 years of combined coaching experience, OSP’s professional instructors provide elite, safety-focused training tailored to the individual from first-time riders to competitive surfers. Rooted in the true meaning of “ohana,” or family, the company is built on respect for the ocean, the land, and every person who steps onto the sand.

Founded on the belief that no child should be left behind in the surf, Ohana Surf Project was created to make the ocean accessible, empowering, and transformative. Co-founder Sean Anderson, a professional surfer and coach of over 30 years, envisioned a higher standard of surf instruction, one that invests in career professionals and delivers a meaningful, confidence-building experience. Co-founder Susan Geraci discovered the healing power of surfing and her journey reinforces OSP’s deeper mission: to share the strength, serenity, and connection that the waves can provide.

Through its professional instruction and community-driven Foundation, Ohana Surf Project is committed to mentoring youth, expanding ocean access, and cultivating the next generation of surfers and leaders. At OSP, it’s more than a lesson. It’s a lifelong connection to the ocean and a family that welcomes you in.
