What to Expect
Arrive at Camp Pālehua 30 minutes before your scheduled ride to check in. After signing a waiver and selecting a properly fitted helmet, you’ll receive a brief safety demonstration before being matched with a well-trained polo pony suited to your size and experience level.
Once mounted, your guide will lead the group along a scenic ridgeline trail, where you’ll take in sweeping views of O‘ahu’s southern and western coastline. The horses move at a steady walking pace, making this ride enjoyable for beginners and experienced riders alike. Keep an eye out for cattle grazing along the trail and native plant species unique to the conservation land.
If you choose the Sunshine Ride, you’ll enjoy the warmth of the midday sun illuminating the mountains and ocean below. Opting for the Sunset Ride means witnessing the sky transform into hues of gold and pink as the sun dips below the horizon, a truly magical sight.
Along the way, the guide will pause for photos at a picturesque lookout point, ensuring you have a lasting memory of your experience. Upon returning to the stables, guests will have the opportunity to feed the horses a treat before concluding their adventure.
Private Horseback Ride

Cancellation Policy
Guests must arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled ride. Cancellations or changes must be made at least 48 hours in advance for a refund. Those exceeding the 230 lb weight limit are not eligible for refunds.
