What to Expect

Check-in takes place at Ala Wai Boat Harbor, where your captain and crew will welcome you aboard our 30ft Rigid Hulled Inflatable Boat "Zodiac" Boat. Boarding is fast and easy, there’s no need to arrive early, but punctuality is important. Once everyone is aboard, the boat heads out past the Waikiki surf breaks and into open water, setting course down Oʻahu’s scenic southern coast.

As the boat cruises along, you'll take in sweeping views of Diamond Head, the Koʻolau Mountains, and the shoreline of Waikiki bathed in late-afternoon light. Marine life is often active at this hour so keep an eye out for turtles gliding near the surface or dolphins moving alongside the boat. The ride to the tiki bar takes about 30 minutes.

Tucked away in a quiet harbor, the tiki bar feels like a step back in time. Classic sailboats line the docks, and the bar itself is full of vintage Hawaiian character including tiki carvings, nautical relics, a glowing fish tank, and mid-century memorabilia covering the walls. Guests have about 90 minutes to enjoy the atmosphere, sip handcrafted cocktails and sample classic Hawaiian pupus from the menu.

As the sun begins to dip toward the horizon, you'll reboard the boat for the return to Waikiki. The ride back is all about the view. Watch as the sky shifts through gold, pink, and deep orange, with the silhouette of Diamond Head and the city skyline glowing against the twilight. It’s a relaxed and scenic end to an experience that blends coastal cruising, local flavor, and island nostalgia.

Know Before You Go

• Dress for the ocean – Beach attire, hat, sunglasses, are best; expect to get wet even if you're not snorkeling.
• Bring only essentials – Dry storage is limited. Non-essential items are best kept at the marina.
• Health restrictions – Not suitable for Pregnant individuals, Guests with back, neck, or mobility issues
• No restroom onboard – Use marina facilities before departure. Dining tours stop at restaurants with restrooms.
• Food and drinks welcome – You may bring your own. A large onboard cooler with ice is provided.
