Quick Local Tip: Sharks often start deep and rise slowly as they warm up to swimmers, so don’t stress if they’re hard to spot at first. If you’re one of the last to slip in, you’ll usually catch them cruising closer to the surface, making that first step off the ladder feel a lot easier.

What to Expect

Depart from Haleʻiwa Harbor aboard a high-speed powerboat for a short ride into the deep offshore waters of Oʻahu's North Shore, where your captain anchors in one of Hawaii's premier shark viewing areas. Before entering the water, the crew provides a thorough safety briefing, introduces the shark species commonly seen on the tour, and answers any questions so everyone feels prepared.

When it's your turn, descend into the open ocean in small groups of no more than six guests. With no cage between you and the marine life, watch Galapagos and sandbar sharks glide effortlessly through the blue while a trained safety diver remains in the water throughout the experience. Every encounter is different, and you may also spot tiger sharks, pelagic fish, or, during the winter months, hear the haunting songs of migrating humpback whales beneath the surface.

After your dive, climb back aboard to relax during the scenic ride to Haleʻiwa Harbor and share the excitement with your fellow guests. If you've selected the optional photo package, your professionally captured images will be delivered digitally after the tour, and you're also welcome to bring your own waterproof camera or GoPro to document the experience.
