What to Expect

Check in at the Waianae Small Boat Harbor, where you’ll board the Poseidon Catamaran, a modern and spacious vessel designed for comfort and adventure. Once on board, the crew will lead a traditional Hawaiian oli (chant), welcoming you and honoring the cultural significance of the sea.

Dolphin Swim: For early morning tours, the focus is on a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to swim with wild dolphins in their natural habitat. Guided by experienced crew, you'll enter the water when it's safe and respectful to do so, joining these intelligent and playful marine mammals as they move through the clear, calm waters of the west coast. This portion of the tour is carefully conducted to ensure minimal disturbance to the dolphins, providing an ethical and awe-inspiring encounter.

Dolphin Watch: For late morning and afternoon tours, guests will enjoy an incredible dolphin watching experience from the spacious deck. As the catamaran cruises the coastline, keep your eyes on the horizon for pods of Hawaiian spinner dolphins. Watch as they arc gracefully through the water and display their signature spinning leaps, all against the stunning backdrop of Oʻahu’s leeward coast.

After the dolphin portion of either tour, the catamaran heads to a secluded snorkeling site. Here, you’ll have time to explore a thriving coral reef ecosystem, home to Hawaiian green sea turtles, tropical fish, and vibrant marine life. Snorkel gear is provided, and crew members are on hand to offer guidance and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

The adventure continues with a variety of water activities. Try kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding over calm Pacific waters, or enjoy the floating mat for a laid-back ocean lounge. For a splash of adrenaline, take a ride down the onboard water slide, diving straight into the tropical sea.

As the tour winds down, relax on deck with a freshly prepared lunch wrap (turkey or vegetarian) and slices of sweet island pineapple. During winter months, guests may also be treated to humpback whale sightings as the majestic creatures migrate through Hawaiian waters. By the time the boat returns to harbor, you’ll leave feeling refreshed, inspired, and deeply connected to Hawaiʻi’s marine world.
