What to Expect

Guests begin their experience by checking in at the watersports office in Hawai‘i Kai. Please plan to arrive early to complete waivers and gear up. After a quick safety briefing, you’ll board a shuttle boat for a short ride out to the floating activity island in Maunalua Bay, where the real fun begins.

Once you arrive at the platform, a friendly activity coordinator will assign you to a group. While there may be some short waiting periods between rides, the time moves quickly thanks to the energetic atmosphere and sweeping views of the Ko‘olau Mountains and the iconic ridgelines of Koko Head and Koko Crater.

The banana boat ride is all about group laughter and momentum. Up to six participants straddle a bright yellow inflatable that’s pulled at high speeds across the water by a jet ski. With each sharp turn, splash, and bounce, the excitement grows. It’s an ideal activity for families or friends looking to share a fast-paced, hilarious adventure together.

The bumper tube ride is a solo or small group experience with a different kind of thrill. Participants lie belly-down on an inflatable inner tube, face just inches from the water, gripping the handles tightly as a jet ski whips and spins the tube through choppy wakes. It’s wet, wild, and intensely fun, with just enough edge to get your heart racing.

After your rides, catch the shuttle boat back to the dock, where you’ll have the opportunity to view and purchase digital photos and GoPro videos captured during your activities. Whether you’re laughing at your airborne splashdown or watching your expressions as the tube takes a sharp turn, these memories are worth taking home.
