The Eastside of Oahu is known as the Windward Coast because the tradewinds blow onshore year round keeping the area cool and fresh. Nestled in the flatland between the mountains and the beach is the quaint little town of Kailua. With its boutique shops, cafes, and powdery white sand beach it is easy to spend a day enjoying small town life. Kayaking out to the Mokulua Islands for the day is a local favorite pastime. Just up the coastline is the Kane'ohe Bay and its sheltered waters. This protected bay is also perfect for kayaking out to large sandbar and numerous reefs for snorkeling all with the incredible views of the sheer green Ko'olau Mountain Range in the distance.
