Quick Local Tip: Sit on the port (left) side of the boat during the cruise out. That view lines you up perfectly for the first firework launched. From the water, you’ll catch the very first color burst and its reflection rippling across the water.
What to Expect
Every Friday evening, just after sunset, the Haleiwa Queen departs from Kewalo Basin Harbor for a short cruise along Waikiki’s calm southern shoreline. As the boat drifts offshore, the glow of the city reflects across the water, setting the stage for the main event. You’ll be positioned for the best possible view of the fireworks show, which launches from the beach near Hilton Hawaiian Village.
As the fireworks begin, the sky fills with bursts of color — golds, reds, blues — all mirrored in the water around the boat. The gentle ocean breeze, the skyline lit up behind you, and the open-air setting create an unforgettable atmosphere. Below the surface, lights under the boat illuminate the reef, drawing fish into view through the glass panels, creating a unique dual experience: fireworks above and marine life below.
Guests are welcome to bring their own food and beverages, including beer, wine, or cocktails. The boat has coolers with ice available for use, making it easy to relax and enjoy the ride.
