Quick Local Tip: From Kakaʻako Waterfront Park, pause at the lookout to the right facing west. You’ll see Honolulu Harbor’s massive container ships and cruise liners moving in and out. Along with Honolulu International Airport planes taking off and landing from the runway. This view is the city’s working rhythm on full display.

What to Expect

This "Magic Island Glide" tour starts in the famous Magic Island waterfront peninsula and allows time for exploration and enjoying the ride on your Segway outside of the tourism district of Waikiki!

Your glide begins with your Segway Personal Transporter lesson. Once training is complete, we glide to Ala Moana Beach Park and her wide park pathways. This is where the in-town locals go to enjoy the sun, sand, surf, and spectacular Diamond Head and ocean vistas.

We then glide along the beachfront park pathways and up and over an arched bridge and then head off to Kaka’ako Waterfront Park or as the locals call it “Point Panic” a special surfing spot and her majestic ocean front promenade. We then zip up hilly park adjacent to the promenade, we then glide to the very top to see the Ehime Maru Memorial, a beautiful memorial for the lost lives who died when a US submarine crashed into a civil fishing boat. From this vista you can enjoy the amazing cross-island views.

During the winter months, you are sure to catch a glimpse of the whales who come to Hawaii to breed during this time of the year. Whale watching on your Segway tour adds just a bit more magic to your Magic Island Glide. We then glide back to the Tour Center as we complete our Segway ride.

Magic Island Sunset Tour

Enjoy your Segway cruise through the beach parks of Honolulu and up Kakaako Waterfront Park during the beautiful golden hours of the late afternoon. During the last hour of your tour, we will time the ride perfectly so you are riding into the sunset. This is a great way to end a fun day in Honolulu.

  • Maximum weight 275 lbs
  • Minimum age required 10 years
  • Parties of 6 or more 15% gratuity is automatically added
  • Safety helmets are a must and are provided for each rider at no extra charge

Guests should arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled tour time.
