Your health is our top priority, and we have special measures in place to keep all guests safe both during and after your activity.
Stringent Cleaning - We’ve increased the frequency of disinfecting surfaces and high traffic areas between each tour.
Social Distancing - We only do private charters, so you and your party will be the only guests on the boat during your tour. We also ensure that crew members will be wearing the necessary PPE.
Wellness Checks - Employees receive daily wellness checks to ensure they are healthy and symptom-free. If you or anyone in your group is experiencing symptoms, we will work directly with you to cancel or reschedule your tour.
Want to see some whales during your Waikiki, Hawaii vacation? Come find them with us! During our private speedboat charter we can cover more ground in our whale watching adventures because we can go farther and faster than any other boat tour. We will get you up close and personal to make sure you get a good look at these graceful giants.
From the east side to the west side, we can reach the entire southern coast of Oahu on this trip. We're so confident that we'll find whales, that we guarantee it. If we don't see whales on your tour, we'll take you out again for free (within the season and subject to availability).
This adventure is offered between December and May, when the magnificent humpback whales visit Hawaii.
We meet up at the Ala Wai Boat Harbor to check in and board the boat. It only takes a few minutes to get everyone aboard The Adventure Boat. You don’t need to be early but please don’t be late. Then we head out past the surf breaks into the calm waters of Waikiki to enjoy a private whale watching boat charter on our Rigid Inflatable Speedboat.
Once we find the humpback whales we will turn off the motors and keep a respectable distance. By remaining quiet we can here the air exhale out of their blowholes when they breach the surface. These active creatures frequently will perform a variety of tail slaps, pectoral fin slaps, spy hops, and even the full breach!
After the whale watching is complete, we will motor back to the harbor looking for turtles, dolphins, and other sea life while enjoying the famous views of Diamond Head, the Ko'olau Mountain Range, and Waikiki skyline.
Dress appropriately for an ocean adventure (beach attire) as you will probably get wet! Depending on the conditions, you might be in for a wet and wild ride.
Due to potentially bumpy conditions, our adventures are not suitable for those who are pregnant, those with bad backs or health/mobility concerns, or small children.
Our adventures are safe and fun, but this is an ocean thrill ride and all tours are at your own risk. Always listen carefully and follow the crew’s instructions for your safety.
Feel free to bring additional food and drinks. We have a large cooler with ice onboard that you can keep stuff cold in.
There is no restroom on the boat. We recommend that you try to use the restroom at the marina before your adventure. Our dining trips stop at restaurants that do have restrooms.
Whales are wild animals and they operate on their own schedules. They usually arrive in the islands in December and stay until April, but we won't really know until we see them. For reservation purposes, our whale watching season tentatively starts December 15 and will be updated and adjusted as the whales make their first appearances of the season.
