Self-Guided Kayak & Snorkeling on Offshore Islands

Location: East Oahu, Oahu

This self-guided tour is for those who to go it alone and find their own adventure. With this unguided tour your given a safety briefing, the kayak, a picnic lunch, and a point in the right direction!

Round trip transportation from Waikiki is included

What to expect

We start the day by either picking you up from Waikiki or meeting at our store for basic safety and paddling information. If you have traveled in your own car, we will then help load kayaks on your vehicle, including smart cars and convertibles up to 3 kayaks will fit on one vehicle.

Next, you’ll make your way to Kailua Beach Park where you will get your kayak and paddling equipment. When you’re ready to begin your adventure, one of our staff members will help you launch your kayak into Kailua bay.

From there you will depart on an unguided exploration of our beautiful reef-protected bay and enjoy a day of adventuring in the calm, turquoise waters which is home to endangered green sea turtles and sea birds. After lunch on an offshore island (Moku Nui bird sanctuary), you may go for a short walk to a secret cove or go kayak surfing! Then land your kayak on the tropical pristine white-sand beaches for swimming, snorkeling, and sunning. Upon your return to the beach park at 3:00, you will be picked up in the same location you were dropped-off.

For your day’s adventure, you’ll want to take with you: waterproof sun-screen, hat, sunglasses, reef-walkers, water-proof camera, and a water bottle.

A complete lunch in a soft cooler will be provided at our location. Reef shoes for walking around the volcanic rock can be rented at our location as well.

NOTE: If you do not have any of the above-mentioned items, we sell them at our location for prices much less expensive than you will find in Waikiki!
